Home Remedies for Mouth Odor and Bad Breath
Bad breath is a very common problem now days it is referred as halitosis foul smell. It can be due to bacteria struck in the tongue or root of the tongue and if you dont brush regularly then thin layer of bacteria called as plash covers over your teeth and toungue and if this plaque gets thickened starts giving foul smell.There are some simple ways to get over this issue of foul smell
1. Mouth wash with vinegar
Bacteria usually dont like to grow in acidic environment so we can use vinegar it contains natural acid called acidic acid so wash your mouth with vinegar will reduce the activities of this bacteria .Two table spoons of apple cider with vinegar and add a glass of water and gargle at least for 30 seconds and spit it out and it is acid you should brush your teeth immediately.2. Oil pulling
Oil pulling is ancient Indian technique for oral health Take a spoon of coconut oil keep it in your mouth for five to ten minutes. Keep swaying oil in all the directions after 5-10 minutes spit it out then clean your mouth with warm water when you sway the oil around your mouth the bacteria get swept away and dissolves in liquid oil it also has a favorable fatty acid that containing high amount of laurel acid which has anti microbial property you can practice this technique once or twice in a week to remove the bad odor.3. Drink more water
You should know that mouth dryness can also cause bad breath saliva in mouth can naturally keep mouth clean without saliva bacteria grows very easily. Freshly secreted saliva is the best oral antiseptic saliva contains starch digestive and that helps to digest starch deposits in our teeth which otherwise will ferment and smell foul. Our mouth dries during sleep and this is the reason why you feel bad breath when you wake up in the morning. So get hydrated through out the day and drink sufficient water .
4. Yogurt
Yogurt is robotic and lactobacilli enzymes in yogurt helps to remove foul smell.
Lactobacilli enzymes reduces the effect of odor causing bacteria . it not only prevents the odor causing smell of your mouth but also the odor that generated from gut have a cup of homemade yogurt in breakfast or at least at lunch .
5. Yoga hygiene
Yogis have their way for oral hygiene they used to use twigs of neem tree or babool tree and chew them up brush with this twigs and break this twig in two pieces and clean tongue and throw it out for every day taking fresh twigs now we have brush . brushes should be used but we should use brushes the way in which we wash them thoroughly well with fresh water what is more important is that we dont waste more than two minutes what is required is tongue cleaning .
we should have a tongue cleaner clean tongue in night before going to bed and in the morning after you rinse water from your mouth tongue cleaner works wonder no foul smell remains in your mouth throughout the day.
