What to do if you are covid positive

Namaskar!!
Precautionary measures are the best way
to stay away from covid . Infact it is
not just Covid , any infection , if you dont
take care of yourself , you are open for the
infection . Precautions are very much required in
life , inspite of doing everyrhing , yet if you
catch infection , you are affected , then what
to do ? We are going to tell you now . This virus
is known to affect our respiratory system , our
digestive system and our nervous system . There
are some techniques which you can do right in your
bed in home quarantine or in the hospital to help
all your systems function better and
prevent any further damage . First we
have to strenghthen our respiration and so do
some lung exercise . The shortness of breath
when we are affected by virus has to be handled
first . We are supposed to breath better and so in
yoga this technique is done to prevent this virus
from spreading in our lung , we should do this
very regularly . Do this , inhale from your nose
but exhale forcibly from your mouth . It is found
that exhalation becomes very difficult when
nose is choked up , so exhale from mouth so
that inhalation would also be fuller and fuller
and your whole lung will be helped . When we are
exhaling fully , the carbon dioxide in lungs
is released , the toxins from your body is
released very effectively and that would help in
management of covid infectinon . Second pranayama
which I would recommend is pranamyam number 4
, that is abdominal breathing . We have this
diaphragm just touching the lung , below the lung
and that helps in breathing in and breathing out
very fully . So when we are using our abdominal
muscles , we are actually helping our lung to
breath completely and fully , pranayama 4 , so
lie down supine on your back , bring your both
feet closer to your body and then knees together
and then keep your on hand on your stomach and
breath in where your stomach muscles are moving
upwards and breath out where your stomach muscles
are pushing downwards. So you have to breathe in
and breath out using these stomach muscles so that
your lungs breath completely , fully and that’s
how the toxins would be removed from the bottom of
your lungs also .Both these pranayams you should
do regularly . The first one , 10 rounds , in the
morning and 10 rounds in the evening and abdominal
breathing you can do very often . You could do it
for 5 minutes in the morning , 5 minutes in the
afternoon , 5 minutes in the evening . Infact I
would say , whenever you lie down , focus on
your abdomen , and very subtly breath in and
out from the abdomen to keep your mind relaxed and
to see that you are breathing very naturally and
easily . The second area where you should focus in
a day is your GUT . See that you gut is remining
healthy and you are doing certain things to manage
. What happens is , during infection person feels
nausea , person has diarrohea , person has lots
of gases in stomach and person feels quiet uneasy
because of that so certain things you must do to
strenghthen your gut muscles . Like one technique
is called as PAWANMUKTASAN . In Pawanmuktasan
, you should lie down in your bed supine , fold
both the legs towards your body and both arms on
the side . Now breath in and lift your leg closer
to your stomach , hold it , clasp it and bring
it back . Do it with the other leg , hold it
and bring it back then do with both legs together
, hold it and bring it back . You could do with
folded legs or you could do both these things
with straight legs , straight legs you can
lift up and fold and come back and do with the
second leg also , so try and see you are doing
this perfectly . What happens here , is that your
liver is getting exercised because liver also gets
affected due to infection . This is a beautiful
practice to really strenghthen your abdominal
muscles as well as liver . Second exercise in
llying down position is YASHTIKASANA , it is
stick pose , where you are lying down in your bed
, while inhaling you are raising both your arms
upwards , above head and simultaneously pushing
both your legs downwards . So you are giving
a good stretch to your whole body . While
breathing out , you are bringing your both
arms back to normal as well as your toes back to
its normal position . Breathing and movement of
your body should synchronise very nicely and you
really enjoy doing this asana . Both these asanas
you should do 5 – 10 times in a day depending
upon the capacity . One thing you should know
very well , is that while doing any asana you
should not feel tired . If tiredness comes
you should just do it once twice but very often
in a day , but help youself , attend to your body
and that would help you tremendously . To enhance
your immunity , we should do something , if your
immunity is strong , then only you will be able
to throw away the germs and all the problems . For
this , I would recomment 2 techniques , both these
techniques have to be done in a sitting position .
You may sit on your bed , sit on your chair , you
can sit down and do it or if you can sit cross
legged , then sit like that . First technique
is Anuloma Viloma , here you have to breath in
through your right nostril , close the left fully
, hold little bit and breath out from left ,
immediately breath in from left , hold little bit
, breath out from right and stop for sometime and
then start with left , breath in from left , hold
, out from right . In from right , hold and out
from left and stop . Such rounds you should do ,
atleast 5 rounds . In this pranayama , the whole
oxygen level increases so strongly , your prana ,
all the pancha pranas are functioning so well and
that would help in throwing away the toxins from
the system , that would help in building up your
immunity very strongly . Second posture which
I would strongly recommend is an asana . It is
called as PARVATASANA . Here you are inhaling and
raising your both arms up above your head , you
are sitting and stretching your body upwards
, stretch your body upwards . Your entire
central body gets exercised and your lower limbs
are in meditative pose or they are also being
taken care of . So stay there for sometime ,
and come back normally . So again , inhale for
2 seconds , take your arms up , slowly stretch
yourself upwards , exhale and bring your hand
down . This rotation of arm will expand your chest
, it will make you to breath better and make you
relaxed better . It actually triggers your FLIGHT
and FIGHT response . You become very energetic and
active . Your immune cells gain the strength to
fight the infection and the infection , which is
there within is thrown out very easily . So try
and understand that your effort had to be put
.So make sure that you follow all these techniques
, they are very simple techniques , anybody can
do , you need not learn very very difficult asanas
of yoga , this is a very very simple that you are
helping yourself and overcoming your weakness ,
understand that these are one thing and second
thing is keep your mind positive , cheerful ,
crack jokes anybody who comes near you , you
should laugh and giggle . Because when you laugh
, your stomach muscles are also being exercised
like pranayama number 4 and all this is going to
help you . Understand this infection is not a big
thing , if you attend to yourself correctly as
we have mentioned , you will be able to come out
victoriously , you will be able to manage your
life and ahead also , never get afraid of any
such infections . You have to do your part and
everything would be beautiful , correct . Life
is beautiful , live it to your fullest .
Namaskar!!!
